One suffers more often in imagination then in reality.
It is not necessarily to be unhappy in anticipation of sorrow.
One who never been robbed, afraid of being robbed every night.
One who never seen a ghost, afraid of sleeping at night

Sad is the one, who thinks he is sad.
Lost is the one, who thinks he is lost.
Happy is the one, who thinks he is happy.
Blessed is the one, who thinks he is blessed.
Rich or poor, you live in your mind’s domain.

Epicurus words of wisdom:

The Acquisition of riches has been for many men not an end but a change of troubles. For the faults is not in the wealth but in the mind itself. That which made the poverty a burden will make the riches a burden too. Just as it matters a little, whether you lay a sick man on a wooden bed or on a golden bed. No matter which bed he is carried to, he will carry his malady with him.

One need not care if the deceased mind is bestowed upon riches or upon poverty. His malady goes with the man.
